The Beginning: Environmental Responsibility

My reason for beginning this blog is very simple.  I’m an environmental leech.  Even though I’ve taken many steps toward a ‘greener’ lifestyle, I have a long way to go.  I recognize this, and feel that the best way to fix this problem is to do the research that will enable me to learn how to transform myself.  Green DIY projects and garden projects will both help to attain this dream, as well.  In so doing, I hope to help others find the inspiration and knowledge to do the same.

The best way to lead is through example.Raising my daughter has taught me that.She takes on many of my habits, she speaks using words she’s learned from me, and she resolves problems in ways that mimic my own attempts.I learn quite a bit about myself from observing her.

I want her to learn to be eco friendly.  

I begin this blog with great hopes: both for myself, and for others.Our environmental habits cannot change unless we understand why they need to change, and how to go about the process.The more I learn about my environmental impact, the more I can change, and the more I can help others learn to do the same.

I’ll make mistakes.  I’ll probably have some catastrophic failures.

But that’s how we learn. Environmental responsibility is of utmost importance, and even if some of my attempts fail, I’ll know that I tried.

Nobody should fear failure. Instead, we should fear what will happen if we stand back and do nothing to change things, in hope that others will change things for us.
